Terje Väljataga is a researcher and lecturer at Tallinn University in the Centre for Educational Technology. Since 1985 she has been studying in different schools and universities in Estonia and abroad. She holds a Doctor of Science in Technology, Hypermedia Lab, Tampere University of Technology, Finland. She has been involved in different educational research projects since 2004. Currently her research interests are related to adult education and media pedagogy, social media implementation in higher education, personal learning environments in formal and informal educational settings and competence advancement for self-directing intentional learning projects.
